Hi ,
i am having problems running this game on XP . i can play the tutorial though but as soon i try and load a new game after installation , the game just quits . i have tried changing every option available but to no effect .

Any one has any idea , as to what the f is going on here .. :(
 
dude i had some probs earlier and it used to crash but before that used to work like charm...there is max payne patch try that..after using it never crashed
 
I have tried various installations . Will try the patch . I hope it works as i am really looking forward to finishing the game once again ,.
 
See if it doesn't work then something is wrong with the Installed files..
Options for you:
1) Use the patch as suggested by magnet
2) Use another copy to install
s) Check if you can install it in another partition and see if it works
3) In case nothing works and you're desparate to play it, then back up your data. Format your C drive, reinstall XP and then install game. Seems painful.

Reason is that due to lot of $hitty softwares we people keep installing and uninstalling there are residual files which cause such side effects. The files which we Shift+Delete don't actually get deleted. They're still on your drive.
Anyways, wont get too techie over here. Just try any of the options and see if it serves your purpose.
