If you're a fan of Max Payne, perhaps it would be wise to steer clear of the movie adaptation. It is supposed to be really bad. It'll cause you max pain. :P

Really!? I am awed by the official website and promos!

Damn shame if what you are saying is true...

If that's true... then it really is sad news. But then again, I'll still prefer watching it and deciding myself. Plus it will be much better than to watch slew of recent idiotic bollywood flicks.

It's got a 20% rating on rottentomatoes, so it can't be that good.

Link

If you are new to the rottentomatoes rating system, what the site basically does is count the number of good (fresh) reviews and the number of bad (rotten) reviews for any film and assigns a percentage score to it. If the score is above 60% then the movie is considered fresh and is generally watchable. Max Payne's 20% rating puts it in unwatchable territory.

Of course watching and deciding for yourself is a good approach, but don't say I didn't warn ya :bleh:

Sure sure... why not?
But some of us still prefer watching selected movies in theater, on big screen... at least once.

I waited for Wanted to release even when it was... you know, available. (PLEASE, No discussions on how good/bad that movie was)
The point is, I wanted to see it on big screen and that's that. Similarly, I would prefer watching Max Payne in theater first.

You didn't see Wanted in Theatres? OR you are just complaining about the delay? I think it was delayed just for 2 weeks from its initial release date. But it got released after all.

Nah Wanted came out in US theatres on June 25, whereas I remember it being released in India around late-August.

^^ Yeah, that is true. But it happens very rarely. Japan gets the their releases after 8-9 months most of the time. After all the countries are done watching.

I remember even transformers kept me waiting for quite a long time, but finally it released. :)

No Starchazer... I did watch Wanted in theater.

I was complaining not only about delay, but contast postponing that kept happening. As a matter of fact, Wanted was released in Hyd/Chennai, almost three weeks before it released in all other metros... I mean WTF was that?

For some reason, I feel same thing happening about Max Payne. It may be bad movie or good movie, but local distris will screw it.

Not that great movie. The director screwed up by making it pg13. If you've played the games you would know that it needs to be rated R :)
