At first i was skeptic about this but it had some awesome features in its small download size.

1.Popup Youtube video and it stays on top of all the open windows no lag when popping in or out Or just save the video no IDM or whatever.

2.you can set codewords for the frequently used websites like if type fb it goes to facebook. can also add custom shortcuts like TE for Techenclave.

3.Mouse Gestures there are 20 or so didnt quite give them a shot but its a good addition.

4.Skins unlike other browsers skins change everthing not just the background of browser.

5.Sync with your account. This is one of the important reasons i love chrome but maxthon also supports the same so i'm happy i have an option now.

6.Notepad. there are times where i just want to store a copied URL temporarily and do some stuff come back and get that URL instead of creating a new text document it saves a lot of time.

7.Snapshots :- an almost complete replacement for snipping tool. edit you snip live, add boxes text pencil etc.....

Lots more which i didnt try but i was shocked by the features all this in 24mb.....WOW

Maxthon has been around for a long time now. They started out as an alternative to Opera and Firefox browsers for users who were comfortable with IE by providing tabbed browsing based on the IE engine.
 
It's, read somewhere, the no. 1 browser in China. Anyway, have always used their different releases and found the memory lock-up issues. After browsing for sometimes, once in a while, the whole browser becomes unresponsive for good 1 minutes, and after that becomes sluggish. However, it has quite a lot of in-built features, for me I like the ability to save streaming videos.
