Forum Feedback Meaning of Titles and reps

Can some one please guide me as to what various titles mean. Like explosive member, overloaded member etc. Also what are the various levels of rep, like notable, respectable etc. Is there any thread on this. Could not find anything.
 
U can customize also now. It differantiates spammers from good members. Say som1 posted 5k posts in 1-2yrs lmao :lol:, where as other guy posted 2k posts in 3years but all quality posts, no spamming etc. :)
 
So can you explain the levels?? Like is there a progression or what? And how do we know who is a spammer and a good poster??
 
hey, just curious. despite a ~3 year stretch,& a dozen +ve itrader ratings, i am still "Mysterious" !
 
It just shows you have been lurking in the market section :P

That mysterious thing changes with your rep points. Your rep points increase when people add to your reputation. People add to your reputation when they like your post (like a good suggestion, advice or user guide). They like your post when you at least make one. You make a post when you step out of the market section and are willing to help people.

But its alright, everyone has different priorities. Its a diverse forum. :)

Yes, most of posts are in the market section. I do browse the the other sections to learn. Funny, i am on the wrong side of 50& am still learning ! :P
as for additions(suggestion, advice or user guide) to the topics, guess i am the shy type. when techgurus speak, us noobs just listen & absorb.

anyway, no issues with my rating. :) . i like the forum, thats good enough or me.

Lately I have been doing that a lot myself. And well we are all learning regardless of where we are.

OOh I just noticed that the titles are customisable. How does that work? I thought that this was only for mods and admins :)
 
Is there any clear guideline/FAQ about the reputation system here. I received few reputation recently but still my reputation is same.

Going through the last few reps you received, 3 of them appear as Blue dots. This signifies that the person who has added rep points to you, does not have sufficient reps to make a difference to your count. The rep system works on the principle that once a person has a certain amount of reputation points, the reputation points giving power increases. This means that if you get a Rep from a member who has a higher reputation, the amount of points added to your reputation will also be more.

how many rep point is required to get on green box in rep bar ?

what is the ratio of rep power that I have and how much I can give ?

I read multiple post of this topic and somehow understand the basics - how it works and nowhere it is mentioned how many accumulated points will give one green block in the rep bar. :huh:

Those two questions can be answered to the exact by the admins. They are busy and away at the moment so it may take a while before they can answer.

As far as bars are concerned they increase as your points increase..

Say from 1-10 1 Gree Bar "User is Mysterious"

10-25 " User is somewhat mysterious"

30-100 - User is Notable

and so on...

Once you hit 120+ you get an additional bar.. I don't remember the exact number as only admins can clear it..

For anyother queries do post :)
