Media player or Android box

I am thinking of buying a media player. Confused between players like western digital tv live or android boxes from amkette evotv and recently launched akai box. So what would be better buy around 8k range but cheaper players like asus o play mini good too as read in reviews. Any advice helpful ?

I would say wait for 2-3 months for players that support Wifi-Direct/Miracast to become available. I think even WDTV will launch one with WiDi.

you can get even cheaper android HDMI dongles for about 4-6k from ebay
