Which company is the best for this? The pathetic company which is presently covering my parents is almost done covering in 2 more months.
Need more info like what is the average premium, what are the things to look out for, which companies allow previous ailments etc?

What is the age of your parents.

If you are earning, it will be easier for you to go for the family coverage with parents added as dependents.

If you just want to change your TPA, you can do that keeping your insurer same as before. This ensures you get benefits of existing policy as otherwise your parents will not be immediately covered for existing illnesses and conditions if any.

Think twice before switching your insurer if your policy is old. You can always switch the TPA and increase the coverage.

Ignorant me that I never visited this page again. Now I am in deep trouble. My father went hrough an Angioplasty.Recovering well now.But I didn't get him insured. Now I want to.He is 61 years old.Would like to get my mother insured too.
AFAIK, Bajaj Allianz and Star Health Red Carpet is the best.
Since my father is a above 60 and my mother is not, do I have to get them seperately insured?

But Family insurance is calculated based on the age of the eldest member of the family. ie. my father aged 61.That would increase the premium substantially compared to Individual right?

I got one from Apollo Munich.

Also don't go for a Floater plan, have individual cover for everyone.
