apparently it overclocks like a monster 860/2133/2490 OMG !! . 179 dollar for the gtx+ would have been good price point as it would undercut 4850 and make ppl switch to the green team .

bad pricing by the green team as always !! .

they are selling the 8800GT at $130 jus to clear stocks as the product has been EOLed.
i am sure nvidia hardly making anything out if the 8800GT at that price point..but it hardly matters to them..they jus want to clear stocks..same with the 65nm 9800GTX.

^^ They have made loads of money frm 8800GT, covered their R&D exp. long time back, now any additional units selling over 100 USD gives NVDA some decent profit....

NV can salvage this situation by introducing a decent mid range card, which should run much cooler then HD 4xxx series... and consume less power at idle...
