Hoila!
I joined this forum long back, but I've been an active participant only of late. It is a wonderful forum to learn a lot of stuff :hap2: Keep up the good work. Hats off to the moderators and admins :D

Now coming to the point,
The members list and other member details are available to the guest users. One doesn't need to log in to get the details. Thou it isn't a great deal, still I would want only the registered users to be able to view the info.

Your Email Address is not shown to guests - if you are worried about that.

True! You've given us the option. Thats why i stressed, "I WOULD WANT".
Anyways, you'll get more users as you'll force them to register to view the details.
 
^ I am not talking about that option. What i meant is -

By default - Guests cannot view your contact details in Members List. The 'Contact Tab' is absent for all the guests from the Members List.
 
"contact info" is present for guests, but to contact, they need to register. thats there. If its fine with you, no problems at all!

Open it as a guest - do you see contact tab.

As a guest these are the tabs which i see -

User Name - Instant Messaging - Join Date - Posts - Reputation.

As a member this is what is see -

User Name - Contact - Instant Messaging - Join Date - Posts - Reputation

Or i missed your question - take a screenshot and post back.

I hope you are not talking about member profile/details - there also the Email Field cannot be seen by guests.

Forgive me! we are talkin about 2 diff pages.

Members list you are right. I see the same.

I am talking about the individual pages.(profiles)

The email id is visible.

Hope we both are in sync now!
 
Cool - Even from Individual Profiles the email field is not visible for guests.

The same goes for abhishek's profile. The Email Field is not present for guests.

IM Fields are present for guests - but Email is not.

So do you want us to hide out IM details for guests ? Right now only field hidden for guests is the EMail field in both Members list and Members profile.

Something really funny is happening. Maybe not.

I saved the page and attached it. But check this out from guest mode.

You see the email id now? :ohyeah:

I would want the profile page to be viewed ONLY by registered users :)
 
^ I get your point - that not email id(that is still hidden from guests) - its the Yahoo messenger id which is being displayed there. (which of course is also one of the mail ids of the person)

So you don't want IM id's to be displayed for guests - we will see what we can do about it.

Since his siggy is for a Good cause, why dont you allow him.

Even coporates like Google,Wipro does Voluntary Charity work, why not let him do what he can...........

I agree that site, does not have any registration number, but it surely gives a reminder to everyone that not all of us are lucky....

Will surely help us to decide where our next Rupee goes to.....

If he removes this part - it would suffice or he can use only Size 1 font not exceeding 2 lines and that would be fine.

Jayken about hiding that IM tab for guests, it seems that it would need an custom hack and currently it would not be feasible to implement it.

But if we do implement it would take time as our Admins are quite busy at the moment - so expect a delay of few weeks to few months.

My experience with Darklord is similar :hap2:
I think TE choose only Good Human for MODS,
wish I could be ......... but I am not Good Human but Hanuman (anger on Nose:@ with soft heart:) )
