@MohitPreet: You may actually get banned in reality for posting that in Hindi! Stay clear out of Hindi or be it any language other than English for that matter!

I think the best thing to do would be to actually ban the guys who use that for a couple of days. Way more fun than removing that title from vbulletin.

serious;y guys, this Banned usertitle is really confusing as hell, those using it might not realize this, but seeing posts and trads from users using Banned title confused the hell out of one of my friends who was just gonna join TE, i had to clarify that these folks were just messing with their user titles. So as a request can the mods do something bout it, i totally agree with the points bluffmaster raised..

I was expecting spindoctor's reply as well. At first when I saw his user title as Banned, it really got me confused. If I'm not mistaken, he been here for quite a long time. So got really confused as to why he got banned. Then I realised it was a recent fad of having "Banned" as user title.

imo the user title is irrelevant. if not this, it will be some other inane word/phrase. i honestly don't think it matters either way, but i can change it if it's against the rules or whatever.

hmm, Actually banned users can have Strike on there user name, so everyone will recognize it

forbidding word is not going to work imo.. if not banned or infracted... people will think of some other humorous words to prove they are cool/bad ass etc (no ofense meant to anyone)

the only sensible option seems to allocate a different icon for banned people... (like mods n admins have)

or as mentioned before...striking the username or similar thing which can not be edited by individual member.
