a friend of mine wanted to ..buy a sony memory stick pro duo for the PSP..

He wants to go for 2gb\4gb ..and the budget is something like 2.5-3 k max..

just wanted to know is it safe to buy..from grey market or locally..with personal 30 days warranty ??are they fakes or original??

please dont bask me for this...i dont know much about sony memory cards thats why..

here are some deals i found on E bay..and all of them have good feedback\reputation..so is it ohk to buy ??

1) 4 gb for 1700+3xx =2100~ with 30 days warranty

or any other place in navi mumbai..or mumbai where we can get 2\4gb memory cards for the PSP for good price ...

please tell mewhat are the prices tht i shud expect for the 2\4 gb original with 5 years warranty and the grey market one's ??

From the prices quoted, link 1 and link 2 almost definetly look duplicate.
3 and 4 seem to be originals. Lots of people say that the fakes work as well as the originals performance wise, but have a nuch higher failure rate. After a few days, it's size will magically start disappearing or it may stop working altogether. If someoen is willing to sell you a fake with 30 days testing warranty, you could take it. But persoally, I suggest that you NOT buy these online as there is no person/place where you could go talk if it fails later.
 
Buy an original stick. Eespecially if it's for your psp. A friend of mine had lots of problems with a cheaper fake stick.
 
get the one with the 30 days warranty and try all sorts of things with it like formatting,heavy data transfer etc etc in those 30 days..mostly if the piece is defective it will fail in the first week itself...i myself have been using a fake sony for 6 months now without any problems so far...paid 1k for it back then
 
Ive got a 2gb fake mspd , the transfer speeds are on par with the original 1gb mspd i've got but it's plastic quality and fit in ms slots is horrible.
 
yep even im using a fake 4gb card ... ive formatted it a coulple of times and is currently full to almost max capacity and its wrking fine..

it would really suggest you go to a shop locally and buy the fake card so that atleast u can catch the guy during the warranty replacement time...

Yeah thats a good idea..will checkout at some local shops..what price should i expect for 2\4 gb cards ??...and how much personal warranty do they give ?week or maybe max one month ??

does anyone know of a good shop vashi\navi mumbai ??
