Some news on MGS4, the release has been delayed to March 2008 now.
Also, no David Hayter in the movie - anywhere :
IGN: Metal Gear Solid Movie Exclusive
I don't know how the fans will take Snake in real life, In my opinion, they should've just made the movie is some CGi or something. I mean MGS3 Snake Eater Movie on the EXISTENCE disk was nothing short of pure brilliance, filled with epicness all around that only a few hollywood war movies have managed to achieve (Catch its trailer HERE), I wonder why Kojima didn't release this in the DVD movie format.
Though, Kojima is like the Ian Fleming of the east, and his production studio is involved with the movie, and Sony Pictures will be sure to support him with enough budget, but I just hope they take their time (specially now that I'm sure he's totally devoted to MGS4 now), and make the movie just as epic as MGS3 was, I'm just wondering how they'll get Snake right....

The one question that fans have consistently asked us ever since the news broke that Konami and Sony Pictures were teaming to turn the videogame Metal Gear Solid into a feature film is whether screenwriter-actor David Hayter would be involved with the project. Hayter voiced the game's protagonist, Solid Snake.
Now IGN can exclusively report that Hayter will not be a part of the film. We have confirmed that Hayter pitched his take on the project to Konami but they have opted not to hire him to script and/or produce it. Hayter even penned a treatment for the proposed big-screen version but, alas, the powers-that-be passed on it.
An insider who has read Hayter's treatment advised us that his take was "Metal Gear as the Apocalypse Now of the digital age, with Snake at the center of a swirling whirlpool of Genomic/military madness."
Since voicing Solid Snake, Hayter has carved out a second career for himself as a screenwriter, beginning with Bryan Singer's X-Men. His screenplay adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' graphic novel Watchmen is being revised by Alex Tse and director Zack Snyder for the long-in-development feature film.
