Yes bro. I watch remux files off this, no issues. Mx is better, VLC sometimes acts slow while indexing but MX is full of ads.

vlc sometimes makes screen freeze and only you can hear is the sound. i m using nova player now. it is simple & hassle free.

Kodi takes some time to load, but once it loads it works OK, better than VLC for me at least but I did not use kodi extensively because I was getting obsessed with meta data and all so stopped in 2 hrs.

Kodi is good for streaming, but for local files, use VLC or SM Player (GUI for mplayer)
