Michael Fassbender will take on the role of Altaïr in the upcoming movie adaptation of one of the greatest franchises in the history of gaming - Assassin's Creed, Ubisoft Motion Pictures has announced.
The new film-making branch of the French developer and publisher Ubisoft had announced their debut project yesterday. Fassbender was recently seen in X-Men: First Class as Magneto and the more recent (disastrous!) Prometheus as the android David.
“Michael Fassbender was our first choice to play the franchise’s iconic hooded hero. Michael is an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor,†said Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures, in a press release.
Ubi has confirmed that the movie will be in 3D.
