Measurbating is the name of the game. If it feels fast, it's fast. Galaxy S2 on 4.2.1 (CM 10.1) scores worse figures on benchmarks than 4.0.4. (CM 9 or official Samsung ROM) But it's a hell lot more smoother. Same stands true for most other devices.

Encouraging for a 14K Quad core . its just 20% slower in benchmarks than the note 2 while costing only one third of it

I don't think so. Dual Core A5's perform about ~20% better than a single A9 core. This should be reasonably better than a dual core A9.

It came on shopclues for 14490rs, but it was sold out in just 15 mins.

But not to worry I bought it frm a dealer @ 15k today. Its such a beauty yaar.....Couldn't stop playing with it.
