Its just unboxing not review. And its written on video 320x240 resolution of screen:)
Ya, I know, its not review. That's why I had mentioned as "HandsOn" in the parenthesis. BTW, why are you happy about the resolution being 320x240? You have anything against this phone/brand? I'm just half broke because of this resolution thing, and if the ram is confirmed as 256mb, then all hope are smashed.

I am not happy that resolution is 320x240. Infact its resolution is 320x480 . I was just laughing what a hands on when they actually dont know the resolution of the screen.

Its best VFM phone out there, If i havnt bought Samsung galaxy pro 4 days back for 6k i would have bought this.

^ - i've seen many of them commenting in youtube that it has a HVGA resolution. How can you guys be so sure? From where did you get that info that it has HVGA resolution?

Check micromax website its written 320x480.

Can you please confirm it's RAM capacity?

^ - i'm unable to check the RAM capacity. But from what I've seen in the running services tab, it looks like 256mb. Cause there was around 30mb free RAM. But some unwanted services (like netquin) were running in the background...
BTW, there were many preloaded applications in a70. opera mini, saavn, netquin. And the OS is unmoded vanilla 2.2. I didn't even try the interface using launcherpro. I saw the phone at night time, so wasn't able to take good camera shots. But from the night shots (exposure +2), the camera seems to be good. Display is definitely good. Increasing the brightness makes it very good, but still, being the owner of a super-amoled screen, I personally don't like any display. Can't tell further on display quality and touch sensitivity as I haven't peeled of the factory screen guard (which makes the touch interface rough)...
Will let you know of further details soon.

Thanks for the info, mate. 256MB RAM sounds like a deal breaker to me.

Nice specs there especially if it packs a capacitive as GSMArena states for the speculated price. Has a secondary cam and 5MP Camera too!

Looks good too unlike the horrible A60! Gives the LG O1 P500 a run for its money :)

Micromax A70 Android Phone Surfaces > Mobile Phones > Techtree.com
Micromax A70 - Full phone specifications
Leaked : Micromax A70 is next Andro A60, specs and features, Price - iGyaan.in*|*iGyaan.in
Micromax A70 vs. LG Optimus One P500 - GSMArena.com

Update: Pre-Order already started in flipkart Flipkart.com: Micromax A70: Mobile

Confirmed that it has capacitive display. Also packs a Qualcomm MSM7227-1 CPU (800MHz CPU and Adreno 200 GPU like the Galaxy Ace, Pro etc...)
Its also confirmed that it has capacitive dispaly.

Update 1:Buy Micromax A70 at Best Price in India - Also find Specifications, Photos, Features & Reviews

Listed in letsbuy for Rs.7599. So Rs.6599 after discount :D
This makes it a better buy compared to the Samsung G3 (Hope the build and screen response is good)
Letsbuy says 600MHz. So i guess its the MSM7227 and not the turbo.
This also makes it the cheapest Android with secondary camera.

Please Can u tell me procedure to get it for 6.5k on letsbuy after discount, i really want to buy this cell phone and budget is 7k

^ - holding the device right now.
Pros:
Build Quality
Bright Screen
Snappy

Cons:
Wifi Bug (Have trouble in either connecting to wifi or accessing data after getting connected to an access point)
Bluetooth Bug (couldn't send file from my SGS to A70, have to test with some other phone, cause I've had similar problem with corby once)
RAM (just 160 MB and in that free 24 mb even after killing all unecessary tasks)
Will comment on touchscreen sensitivity (still haven't removed the stock scratch cover - it has a rough coating outside and the display looks grainy cause of it) and camera (have to take pictures in bright light) tomorrow

Edit: Have rooted the device using z4root (thanks to igyaan).
Using Titanium Backup, uninstalled the irritating netquin anti virus (came pre-installed and was running in the background all the time).
