If you're still in market then consider my few inputs.
I can understand that you are new to tech / tablets /android /mobile device world. But if you've reached here, I'm sure you can do / learn more.
1. Learn to decode marketing gimmick from the actual product feature value (especially in tech space) .
2. Like any other mobile / computing device it should be considered on primarily its main / key features. i.e:
a) processor - arm A9 is better then arm A8 same ways Double core is better then single core.
b) ram - 1GB (1024mb) is better then 512mb same ways DDR3 is better then DDR2
c) battery - 3700mAh (elf,ainol) is better then 2800mAh (funbook, micromaxx)
d) screen - capacitive is better then resistive
e) screen resolution - 1024x600 is better then 800x480
And more of it better the device will perform.
3.Warranty /Service etc. - Trust me each and every brand retailer is a PITA in this regard so better go for one who give you personal warranty etc.
Based on point-2 from above, here are my few suggestions.
If 3G via Sim is must for you then iberry Asxux 03G rs.9990 is unmatched.
For wifi I advice ainol products for their (comparatively) better quality / battery / processor / community support (huge for any other out there)
a) Tarnados - A9, 800x480, 1GB, 3700mAh, Capasitive, 7" is best in it's price /value category.
b) Elf II - 1024x600, DualCore A9, 1GB, 3700mAh, Capasitive, 7"
c) Any Allwinner A10 with1GB ram, 3700mAh+ battery based devices (its actually a arm A8 processor, But anyways)
d) Any other with similar configuration and better comparable price.
*All and I repeat all indian tablets are re-branded Chinese tablets manufactured by Onda, ployer-momo, newswamy, cutepad etc.
Only they print the logo and repack with your brand name logo on it, if you place minimum oder quantity called MOQ's. So don't get stuck with any brand or logo in particular.
Use your Indian shopping brain
and good luck for your shopping.
