If I need a MicroSD card for my GalaxyS2, and the use will be mainly music, does it make any difference if I get the cheapest class 2 card?

Also, I suppose MicroSDHC is what I need to look for for the Galaxy?

Just checked that I have a class 4 card in my phone and it works fine. Need another for wife's phone.

What would the use be for say a class 10 card if the class 4 card works fine for video and audio as well. Confused a bit.

Full HD video recording, and basic file transfer speed are surely affected if you get a class 2 card. There may be other things affected too. Get yourself a Samsung class 6 8GB or 16GB at ~440 and ~770 Rs respectively from Homeshop18. Cheaper than class 4 and better.

I use one myself and am satisfied with it.

Just ordered a class 4 Sandisk from ebay for about 950/-. Was curious though to know what the need for faster cards in phones was. Thanks.

When Recording HD always go for Class-6 or more. I was using class 4 memory card and I had recorded half HD video of length 5 mins. When playing the video in VLC after 3 min of video it got hanged for a split sec and then again started. This is due to the writing speed to memory card not so fast as required by HD videos. When I convertd mp4 videos to WMA all the videos hanged in betwwen at some point of time. I upgraded my memory card to Class 10. After that I did not find any issue related to HD videos. All videos are now running smmothly So I guess when u buy memory card Class Is very much important
