Microsim cutter for iphone 4

Hi guys,

Do you know where to cut the mobile sim card to microsim size (iphone 4) from Bangalore? There are cutters for sale on ebay but not sure whether to buy it as this would probably be a one time activity. If you guys can tell me (if there is one) a place where I could get it done for some money instead of getting the cutter, it'd be great..

Appreciate any help on this.
 
dude....u dont need a cutter....just get a template printed on paper, stick your sim card on it, make markings on it using a pen and then use scissors to cut it. Once cut, you may have to make slight refinements using the scissors on the edges to fit the tray. Trust me, its very simple
 
^ The DIY one's are not as perfect as the cutters no matter how accurately you do it .The sim accessing hardware in the phone seems to be very very sensitive to the placement of sim in the tray.Even the slightest movement of Sim in the tray results in SIM errors. Haven seen this happening with lot of my friends who wasted 2-3 SIMs this way :P . Some service providers like Vodafone have started providing microsims as well.

The phone is with my brother who is not keen on cutting it himself with scissors. He wanted to buy the cutter, but since it would be a one time activity I thought it'd be better to get it done from some places where they sell the phone.
 
If you are a vodafone customer...visit the Vodafone Store and give them a request. They will give you a Micro SIM in 2 days :)
 
Even cutters are not perfect in cutting the sim. Even airtel is giving duplicate Microsims now a days. Try those instead of cutting it
 
Best is if you can get a Proper MicroSim or else get your Sim Microsim'd from an *Experienced* Guy as MicroSim cutters are not perfect as pointed above, Sim would still need to be brushed after it has been cut and yeah don't DIY as an improperly cut Sim might run your iPhone into Network related errors.
 
sorry for bumping an old topic, but wasted one sim already ;) am gonna try my luck with airtel for a new micro sim card. one question though, can we activate the regular ol' 3G plans on this card as well? or do i have to necessarily take up the 600 bucks iphone plan?
