Microsoft Dates XBOX360 Indian launch !!!!!

Both the version will be available. Also there will be a special price on games costing around max of 1500. This is not bad compared to games which sell for 50$+ internationally. Also, if you getting a XBOX 360 from abroad, dont go for JP version as they as NTSC based. Try aquiring a european model.
 
yes both the versions will be launched and the premium version will cost 23900.an official launch is better as we can claim warranty easily.a 10% preorder discount is tempting too.
 
Im eagerly awaiting the PS3.

Imma gonna buy it as a Blu-Ray Player and a Gaming machine 2nd fiddle :P...

Nice to pair up with my 40" LCD! :D.
 
hmmm very intersting. Considering the fact that Reliance and microsoft have tied up big time on the broadband/cable tv front, u can expect Xbox LIVE here too. sweeet !!

Ps3 being officially launched here in india in november. Wonder who would be backing their online service. We'll have to wait n watch !!
 
its better to buy a ps3 rather than a standalone blueray drive.one of the reasons sony may have priced its blue ray drives a 1000$ is to sell a lot of PS3's.

OT: goldenfrag how much did the 40" lcd cost u?
 
PS3 also got some advantage of its own mainly the ability to run homebrew software easily and secondly, will be having a live service similar to XBOX 360 but free of charge. I never consider blu ray a strong point of PS3 atleast as of now.

Blu ray is still in development and not ready mass market atleast for next two years. Also blu ray is suppose to store HD content for which you need HD capable TVs and Monitors. Trust me, HD/BD will still take minimum of 2-3 years before it becomes a viable option to a DVD-9. Buying a PS3 just for the BD player is a moron's thought.
 
japanese tv's use the ntsc standard while its mainly the pal standard in india. that might be a problem. also if the game is region encoded for the us u wont be able to play it. u'll have to get a japanese copy of it. same applies foe dvds too.
their website is up now http://www.indiaxbox.com. and preorders start on june 9th. hope there isnt a us like rush.
 
Xbox 360 is already available in INDIA ( Grey Market )for 17k ( 3 months back ) with Modchip ( in future ) ! So Whats the Point in purchasing a the same for 24k ? And Do u Really Think anybody will buy those games for 1500 bucks , when the same is available for rs 100 ?:)
 
^^There are still no xbox 360 games available for 100 rupees and some people have more of a conscience than you :P.
 
Not to forget if your Xbox is modded then you can very well forget about the Live Services which if intoduced in india would be AWASOME... Cause i am sure M$ will somehow know that weather you Xbox is modded or not...

Not necessarily.TVs that support both standards are available in plenty these days.
 
If the games actually cost Rs 1500 then hell i am gonna pre-order it. I would have got the system the day it was released but the Rs 4000 game mark was too much. Any more confirmation or info on where i can see that 360 games going to Rs 1500 or somewhere close to that.

Like deathdemon said..Care to give us the link frm where you got tht info on the ps3 launch in india or did you confuse it with wht sony said as a worldwide launch which does not include india.

As for the 19,900 cost..is this a core bundle or the premium pack and does it include any games..*snicker*..cause i'm still laughing at the prices they just charged.I also doubt tht the 360 games are gonna cost 1500..it's more likely gonna cost more..
 
madmonkey 19900 is the price of the limited fifa world cup edition core bundle.
fifa 2006 world cup game is bundled with it along with a customized face plate.
