Microsoft had released its Zune service along with Zune music players, but that didnt do well and failed to compete with Apple's iTunes and iPods , later Microsoft axed the whole Zune lineup.

Now Microsoft is back with big plans for its new music service Xbox Music.

Microsoft's new Zune service to rival Apple's iTunes as well popular music streaming services like Spotify, Pandora and MOG.

The Xbox music will be all-in-one service which will offer 30 million tracks to its users worldwide through Xbox 360 , PCs , tablets, and smart-phones running Windows 8 and Windows RT.

There will be free plans which will include audio visual ads every 15 minutes and after 6 months of free trial, listening will be capped to 10 hours per month.

Unlimited streaming and option purchase to download or sync songs to PC or mobile will cost $10 per month.

The Xbox Music service launches today on the Xbox 360 and will come to other platforms later this month. It will be the default music service on Windows 8 OS when it launches on 26 October. The service will not be available for iOS or Android right now.
