Windows 8.1 update is set to be released to OEMs by the end of August. Now, Microsoft has released new hardware certification requirements for Windows 8.1 devices.
The requirements for Windows 8.1 now include Bluetooth for all devices with built in Wi-Fi.
From 2014 , devices with integrated displays will need to have front facing 720p cameras and higher fidelity specifications for audio.
From January 2015, Trusted Platform Module will also be a must for all certified Windows devices.
