sir the future is cloud gaming. Will this impact the sale of gpu's and companies like nvidia and amd?
So how will this cloud play games? GPU's will always be required. In pc , consoles, cloud.. everywhere. So no this will not impact nvidia or amd.

Why no? I know cloud gaming is like years away but why no?
Because you are just outsourcing your hardware requirements to someone else. The company who is offering the services will have to purchase that hardware so they can offer it to you on rent. Yes, there will be some impact as these companies will have better efficiencies and since everyone is not gaming at the same time, therefore, they will not need to buy 100 GPUs for 100 users, but it shouldn't be a lot of impact.

Literally ordered xbox with 2year subscription (xbox all access) after hearing the news. Also the only way to get one without giving into scalper assholes.

I am expecting that XBOX Game Pass prices to get reduced so that I can buy it because it is too high an amount now.
Since Microsoft bought this studio and a number of studios since last year which would make the Game Pass cheaper I am thinking.

I don't think so. They might give some discount but its still will be the price of 2 games atleast I think in 1.5k range each.

Expect more products - just see how Microsoft leveraged the LinkedIn into Dynamics and sell these feature for the cost, same applies for Yammer. They are now branding Power Apps and integration with such platforms. You might see games getting into other MS platform - considering gamification is buzzword.

Cloud gaming is not years away. It is already here and for quite a few people it is actually a much more viable option. (Indians excluded)
Cloud gaming can replace a need for budget gaming Laptops, the ones with 1650 or Integrated Graphics. But at the same time, it can never be used for Competitive games where latency is more important.

Having been working on Azure for Office. It is clear that Microsoft has a very robust infrastructure already in place to make Cloud Gaming work (and they are trying to improve the whole Xcloud thing).
