Don Mattrick, who is the boss of the entire game business of Microsoft, is expected to soon leave the company and become the CEO of social gaming giant Zynga who are most well known for making Facebook/Web Browser games, according to a report in the AllThingsD.
It hasn't been confirmed yet, but this may very well be done behind closed doors. If completed, the move is being described as being a very good one for Zynga, who in the recent past have been experiencing some difficulties, especially after Zynga decided to shift to mobile and real money gaming, after it had been failing to retain it's Facebook gaming customer base. Zynga had recently also laid off more than 500 employees calling it a cost cutting measure.
Mattrick, was very well known as the face of Xbox. He was behind every major Xbox news in the recent past, and also was the announcer of the Xbox One earlier his year. Mattrick, who is 49 years old now, had joined Microsoft in 2007.
After the breaking out of this news, the shares of Zynga went up more than 11% to $3.10 which is still way below the face value of $10, though.
