PC Peripherals Microtek 800VA to power CFL lamps ?

How long can a microtek 800 VA double battery UPS power a 15W CFL ? will running a CFL damage the UPS ?The reason i ask this weird question is i bought this one a few days back for 2K :

That portable thing powers a 15W CG 15W cfl for more than 6 hrs and it has only one 7ah battery ....since my Microtek 800 VA ups comes with two 7ah batteries wont it power even a 25W CFL with ease for 6+ hrs?

if it wont damage the UPS in anyway i am thinking of getting a another microtek UPS for this purpose....so can this be done guys ?

Should last about 4-5 hours with 25W

2*7*12/25

replace 25 with wattage of whatever you want to run to get a very optimistic estimate of runtime

But the beeping will drive you crazy

I dont think it would harm the UPS, have been using a UPS for 3-4 years to power my cordless and router for the switch between main and inverter power

Found this thread on thinkdigit ....a guy is doing the same thing with the same microtek ups he is running 20w+14w cfl

@Akash can you explain this part pls : 2*7*12/25 ???

also a single battery inverter thing i bought recently(pls see the link in my post above) can power a 25w easily for like 3-4 hrs then wont the double battery 800VA UPS power the same for like 6-8 hrs ? or am i missing something here

n - number of batteries

a - Ah rating of each battery

v - Battery voltage

a*v - total capacity in Wh per battery

n*a*v - total capacity of battery bank

l - load in Watts

total Wh/load in watts - optimistic estimate of runtime

I'm ignoring conversion losses,etc
