  1. What is your budget?
    • 35k
  2. What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model)
    • I just have a laptop atm (Dell Inspiron 1564)
  3. Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model
    • I will have to buy everything from scratch
  4. Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.
    • Everything I would need to build a system
  5. Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component
    • No I won't be upgrading in the next few years
  6. Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)
    • Bangalore (Actually I just recently moved here, so I have no idea which places are good for buying components)
    • Open to online purchase
  7. Would you consider buying a second hand hardware from the TE market
    • No
  8. What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
    • Gaming (Don't need ultra high settings, I'm ok with mid settings for latest games)
    • Graphic Design, 2D painting, and a little bit of occaisional 3D
  9. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.
    • No such preference
  10. If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?
    • FPS mostly - I already play CoD4 with a clan, but with a new setup I'm hoping to be able to play games like BF3, BF4, Ghosts and AC4
  11. What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage
    1. Gaming - 1440x900
    2. Desktop - 1440x900 (slightly lower than this would also be ok. I'm not planning to spend a lot on very high resolution monitors)
  12. Are you looking to overclock?
    • No
  13. Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?
    • Windows 7 64 bit (I already own a genuine copy of WIndows 7 so I wouldn't need to purchase another one)
Thanks

Are you absolutely set regarding the monitor size? For a gaming PC, 23" with 1920x1080 is pretty much the standard now.

Well I'm not set about the resolution, I'm kinda flexible. Thing is, I haven't played a lot on big screens, so I don't actually know whether the extra ~3K is justified for a 23inch monitor as opposed to say an 18.5 inch one. How about your experience on large monitors vs small ones?

How about the Radeon HD 7850? It is 5k more than 7750, but I guess since I will be buying just once for quite some time, I might as well make it good, so I have stretched my budget to 45k now.
So does the 7850 go well with the above rig mentioned? Or do I need different PSUm RAM or CPU for that card?
By the same token I decided I'll take the 22" monitor.

If you are going for HD7850 then GTX650Ti 2GB Boost is much better.
