Hello Mates ,
It Has Been Days Might Be Months i Have Concentrated On Lynx Forums ,What all has been done is by aseem and few other fellow members .Anyways presented here is a review of the Techstation Cabinet .The techstation cabinet comes in 2 models the Original Like This
<div align="center"> The Original and Top Deck Model Of The Techstation
</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
The Techstation Comes Is a Very Small Box White In Colour And Weight Just 3.22Kg On Scale .The Dimensions Of The Box Are Very Lean too .Anyways The photo of the package as arrived in as under.
<div align="center">
</div> <div align="center">
</div>
Once We Open the Package We See That The Internal Components all All Well Packed And Also Well Marked ,There is a Printed Installation Guide Also in The Package Thats Very Handy during the assembling process .
<div align="center">
<div align="left">As The Package Is open We See Two Heavy duty Plastic Top And Bottom Bases And Also a Neoprene Mat That Goes On The Top Base .
<div align="center">
</div>
The Photo Below Will Show You Two HDD Mounting Rails And Also The 4 Supporting Legs And the Expansion Card Rail For Mounting AGP And PCI Express Cards And Also Other Expansion Card You May Have Like Models And TV Tuners Etc .
<div align="center">
</div>
Next You will see a fan thats 120mm and also a fan shield so that you do not my mistake cut your finger of you insert it into the wrong hole
.You Also See the Motherboard standoff And A Package of Hardware With Nuts ,Screws Etc Etc .You Also See the ATX Control Kit That Has The LED's the Switches The Speaker Etc .Some Motherboards Now Are Coming With Switches already on The Motherboards .
<div align="center">
<div align="left">The Package Also Comes With Printed Literature ,there is Also a Yellow Page That Says "To Error is Human If something is Missing Contact Us
<div align="center">
</div></div> </div> </div></div>OK Now Its The Time To Start Assembling The System and Get Going ,First We Will Assemble the Bottom Base of The Same .The Bottom Base Has Four Holes on All Four side Where a 1 Inch Screw and Also Rubber Feet Would Be Mounted ,Here We Have the entire thing lined Up ,Please Remember That Once You start To Screw This into the Base Do Not Take It Out of The Other side Just Let a Small Tip Come Out of The Other side Of the Base Because These Screws Are Also Used To Mount The Bottom Base Legs .
<div align="center">

</div>
<div align="center"><div align="left">The Boom Base Of The Techstation Base with The rubber Feet And The Screws With Washer Mounted So That the Screws Are Not Cumming Out Of the Flip Side As We Have To Mount The Legs There .
<div align="center">
</div> Note :
<ul>[*]I did Not Use The rubber Feet In The End Os My Mounting the Kit .Keep Reading Why .
[/list]The Rubber Feet Installation ,Have a Look As We Did Not Drive the Screws all The Way in the Base .
<div align="center">

</div></div> <div align="left">Its Now Time To Install the Motherboard standoff " Supporting Tabs Etc " In the Bottom Base Of The Product .
<div align="center">
<div align="left">We You Know That The Product Has All Plastic Parts "But Mind It Guys this is Extremely High Grade Plastic Parts .We Should Not Apply Too Much Pressure To Mount The Nuts And Parts .You Should Hold the Screwdriver In such a Fashion that when the Nut Is Tight And Has Reached a Perticular Torque Level the Screwdriver Slips In your Palm And you Do Not Overtighten It
<div align="center">
</div>
So Let Is Install the First Set Of 7 Motherboard standoffs In The Base .Make Sure you Do Not Overtighten the Same ,The Installation Of These Should Be Done With Care As The Motherboard Will Rest On these ,Each Of The 7 Holes will Need a Rubber Base ,Screw Small One And a Washer .
<div align="center">
</div>
There Are Two Special Motherboard standoff That Are Long Plastic ,You Mount The Same By Inserting the Long Plastic Screw From the Bottom Base So That is Come Out Of the Other Side Then You Pub The Rubber And Then Put The Plastic Nut And Start To Tighten The Same Until The Nuts Hides under Inside The Rubber standoff .
<div align="center">
<div align="left">Below Presented Are Two Pics In The fist One The Plastic Screw Is Inserted In The Bottom Base And Come Out on The Top Of The Bottom Base ,In the Second PIC the Rubber Mount and the Nuts Are also Attached In the Bottom Base ,This Completes the Setup Of the Motherboard standoff's .
<div align="center">

</div>
</div> </div></div> <div align="left">Now Lets Mount the Four Legs In The Bottom Base ,There are Two Legs That Have a Hole In the Middle And Also Have a Marking On Top Side .Make Sure That The Holes Are There On One Side As Explained Later and Also the Marking Is On the Top ,Its Very Easy To Make a Mistake Here Hence i Will Show you What Can Go Wrong In the Comming Slides .
<div align="center">
</div> </div></div> </div></div> <div align="center">
<div align="left">Once all the Four Legs Are Mounted In the Bottom Base Via those Initial 4 Screws We Had Added To The Bottom Base I noticed that when You Tighten the Screws the rubber Feet Fall Off .It Is Very Easy To solve this and We Will Do This Later With the Indian Touch And style Lolz .
<div align="center">
<div align="left">Now all the Four Legs are Installed To the Bottom Base .Here i Demonstrate a Very Common Mistake ,the Legs On the right Have to Be On the Left and The Legs of the Left to The Right ,the Legs With the Marking Go Near the Plastic White standoff .this Plastic White standoff Is Actually Near The Motherboard Keyboard And Mouse Connector .
<div align="center">
</div>Now Let us focus to the top base in the techstation ,the first thing that needs to be done is that we mount the fan and the hdd rails to this base .Lets Do this One By One ,Lets first Mount the Fan Grill to The Fan .Please Make sure That Grill Is Installed In This side Of the Fan ,Cos the Fan Has To Be Blowing Air Inside the Cabbie Not Outside Of The Same .Also Make sure That the Grill is Not Installed Upside Down .The Grill Feets Are a Little Down Then the Body ,this When Installed Correctly Lifts the Grill a Little up
<div align="center">
<div align="left">If the Fan Grill is Installed Properly In the Fan Top The Fan Will Have Free Movement ,Try this Before you Think its Properly mounted .
<div align="center">
<div align="left">Notice the L Type Mounting Hardware Aligned Into The Fan Markings ,Make sure you Mount this Where Fan Marking Are done And Not in The HDD Rail Markings .
<div align="center">
</div>
The Fan Now Properly Mounted In The Top bottom side And Also Notice The Grill And The Fan Arrangement Carefully ,This Arrangement Will Push the Air Through The Entire Cabinet ,Note The Mounting and Orientation Clearly .
<div align="center">
</div> <div align="left"> After Having mounted the fans ,lets shift the focus to the HDD rails ,The top base of the techstation has HDD rails in its bottom .The HDD rails are made of plexiglass that can crack "But Not Easily " .So we mount the screw into the plexiglass rails once outside to make sure the hole is all set to take the screw
.Have a Look How i Do this .
<div align="center">
<div align="left">Well WE Now Have To Mount the Two Plexiglass Rails Like You See Here in the Picture .The HDD Just Has To Slide inside .So Make Sure The Orientation Of The Rails is Correct .also Note The White Separators Installed ,They Too Are Part of The Package .this is How It Looks After the installation .Also i would like to tell you that the rail mounting area holes too are marked making it easy for you to see the mount holes .
<div align="center">
</div></div> </div> </div></div> </div></div> </div> The Top Base of the techstation has a Neoprene Mat Installation Procedure .this Is Due To The Fact That The Top and Bottom Bases Of The Techstation Are Extremely Slippery due To The Fact They Are Extremely Rigid Plastic .Lets See The Neoprene Mat In A Picture .
<div align="center">
</div>The Neoprene Mat For The Top Base is a Little Smaller Then the Same .So While Installation Make sure You Stretch It a Little
<div align="center">
<div align="left">Now We Install the Screws And The Plastic Washer That Has A Top Cover Also .Please Keep In Mind You Stretch The Neoprene Mats a Little While installation .
<div align="center">
</div>
Now You Will See The Bottom Base With the Supporting Legs Installed In The Base .Please Read the Pic Text ,the Legs Are Installed Wrong ,As this is a Common Mistake People Will Do While Installation I Have Replicated the Same Here For You that you May Avoid The Same Before Hand .
<div align="center">
<div align="left">The Top Base Of the Techstation Is Now Being Assembled ,Use Little Force When You Do The Needful Installation .Once The Techstation Top Base All 4 Screws Are Tightned The Assembling Of The Top Base Is Done .
<div align="center">
</div></div> </div> </div> </div> OK So After All The Four Screws Have Been Done The Covers Of The Top Base Washers Have To Be Pressed ,this Gives The Same a Neat And Tidy Look Like Four Buttons Installed On the Top Deck .
<div align="center">
</div>
After We Finish the Top Deck Installation ,We Are Presenting You How The Cabbie Is Gonna Look In This Stage
<div align="center">
</div> Its Time Now That We Start Assembling The PCI Express / AGP / Expansion Cards Area Of This Cabinet .After We Do This Assembling The Cabinet Would Be Ready for Installation ,So Lets Start Collection the Tools Needed For Doing This Final Assembly .
<div align="center">
<div align="left">Now We Get Hold Of All Whats Needed For This Final Installation .There Are 4 Screws ,2 L shaped Supports , The Expansion Support Rod ,the Black Plastic Nuts Blah Blah .
<div align="center">
</div></div>
<div align="left">Its Now Time To Install the L shaped Supports On Both The Sides Of the Cabinet Legs,Make Sure The Orientation of The Same Is Exactly the Same As I Have Done Here .
<div align="center">
</div></div>
<div align="left">We Now Install The Expansion Card Support To The Two Legs Of The Cabinet On The L shaped Supports .Kindly Note The Orientation Even Of This Item Carefully .
<div align="center">
</div></div> </div> The Techstation Now Finally Assembled To Perfection Just Waiting For the Computer Parts To Be Assembled into The Same .I will Give You One More Screen shot After i Add My Data Recovery Rig To the Same .
<div align="center">
</div> </div> </div> </div> </div><div align="right">Happy Diwali Guys Lolz I Am On The Article Still...
