From the makers of minitube, a new, highly efficient and lightweight media player that not only looks good but works even better, if you are fed up with the bloated and ugly Amarok or don't want to suffocate your system with boatload of unnecessary dependencies then mintunes is just for you.

Cureently in development so don't expect many features from the new comer, but the best part is that it does the job i.e. media playback with fancy and glossy interface to spice up the listening sessions. Its a Qt-based music application that meets the criteria, and still looks fabulous doing it.

The only downside is that the player takes handful of time in providing a make over to your collection with the help of Last.fm. Other than that its quite good for a media player and I think its a welcome change for Linux users. However it is available for Mac as well and according to developers windows binaries should follow the trail.
