Mixing RAM memories of the same brand and latency

If I get the same manufacturer(Corsair) and the same latency(C18) but larger memory(16GBx2) and add them to existing 8GBx2 RAMs. Will it create any stability issues or will I get the benefit of more memory from this? How will this compare with only 16GBx2 sticks?

I don't think it should cause any problems as long as you follow the slot recommendations from the manufacturer to run the memory in dual channel.

This implies you will be populating all 4 of the RAM slots. As per my very limited knowledge, any issues if there are any, will probably arise from motherboard compatibility. Different motherboards have different memory topologies and not every motherboard can support running 4 RAM sticks at a high enough speed. Look up motherboard topology. Also, I found this neat little video:

Right, if same brand and specs except the size of 8gb vs 16gb it won't have any issue. I run 2 gskill and a corsair but have to run at lower speed as my gskill are of lower speed 2400mhz but if i use only gskill i can boost them to max of 2933 without issue
