CPU/Mobo Mobile CPU upgrade for Laptop ??

Hi Guys

I need to upgrade my CPU in my Laptop from T5500 to T7400 / T7600 or atleast T7200 . Does anyone knows where to purchase new mobile laptop processor in india in New or Used condition . Any dealer in TE deals in this ?

Processors in laptops cannot be changed. They are soldered on to the motherboard and almost impossible to remove other than at the factories of the manufacturers.

Also no one will sell you a motherboard which is compatible with the new processor.

Laptops cannot be assembled like desktops.

You have to remain with what you have.

If you want to use a newer processor, you will have to buy a new laptop.

@OP - post the model no. of your laptop and if possible, a CPU-Z screenshot!

You can put upto a T7800 in there! :D

You will find laptop processors on e-bay! ;)
 
Hi Plz Find the CPU-Z screenshot attached. I could not find any dealers on ebay india offering mobile processsors .. Do you know any indian online seller or shop who can supply or get me T7600 / T7800 at reasonable rate.

Just so you know, your processor socket is also called 'Socket M' in short

or get em from e-bay via Global Easy Buy or Fizzmall - INTEL CORE 2 DUO T7600, great deals on Computers Networking, intel core 2 duo t7200 on eBay!

They're quite expensive unfortunately! :(

I had been searching for a C2E X9000 for my laptop myself, but none of em is for less than $350-400!!! :S

EDIT - Pls can you post the screenshot of 'Mainboard' tab!?
 
Even if you buy the processor, you may end up needing a BIOS update for your mobo, which may not be possible, as manufacturer would not assist you. So best to avoid.
