A relative asked me to sell her old iphone 6s which only fetched 4300 so now I am sure the next request would be to buy a new phone. I know she can't go anywhere above 7~8k at this point in time so instead we decided to gift her a phone. Ofc we can't gift an expensive IPhone but an android in range of 15~20k would work.

Requirement - I have no idea but assuming a good camera/screen would be her choice, Samsung phone would be a safer bet but I am open to other suggestions. (Her second phone is an android so switching OS is not an issue)

P.S. She is handicap so her interaction to the world is her mobile.

What about a used iphone since she is already used to it?

4300 is not a bad price for iPhone 6s. Where did you sell it?

cmf phone 2 pro(256gb) or moto edge 60 fusion.
Edge 60 Fusion looks good

How is it compared to Moto?

scamsung is shit, you don't buy scamsung unless its s series.
moto has way better charging speed(68w), included charger(no charger with scamsung), better ip ratings (she dose not have to care about rain anymore) , Higher batter cap.
you can get some credit card disc and get it around 21k
this will last her easy 3-4 years and never sell phones, rather exchange you get exchange bonus w/e that it+ value of phone.

Dont get her used phone, Feeling of gifted a new phone is diff and 2-3 year old can't be compared to newer one way less charging speed, battery capacity.

No. Just no. They have the best software in Android. There are practically no glitches. I used to buy Motorola, Xiaomi, Zuk, Lenovo, Asus, but once I moved to Samsung, I stayed there. The software is just so good. Maybe the software of other companies is better today than 6 years back. But, there are certain deal breakers even in "pure" android like motorola. Their camera is so glitchy. Specs are not everything. Samsung will give you the best experience compared to any other android phone. I like paying for experience now instead of just running after specs.

It is a much better product than anything 20K can buy new. Moreover, since they are used to the OS, they will like it even more.

its andriod, you have apps for everything stock os is always better, samsung has shit ton of bloatware and ads, so you are talking about glitches you faced 6 year back? even iphone has glitches my iphone 13 got green screen by software update and as it was not under warranty they did not fix it and i had to sell it for 7k new was 50k atp, she is not 60-70 yrs old android os is way better than ios believe it or not, wait for ios 26 which sucks more. what iphone are you getting for 20k are you sure it will get ios 26? if not how long do you think it will last.

15-20K you can get Redmi Note 13 PRO
12/256 GB
Has a decent camera and quite impressive, using for a year now.

She has an Honor phone (android) currently and iphone was sold today so switching OS is not an issue. Regarding samsung phones my brother used M series before upgrading to Moto and he can't stop appraising Samsung, That being said the usage will be completely different.

Thats true and its the reason I am more inclined toward a new phone.

Today she sent links of Motorola G05 and Samsung F05 for suggestion and I will simply pretend to place order for one of them. Instead will buy the phone you guys are suggesting and deliver as a surprise.

Bad camera
Bad speaker
Bad microphone

Good performance
Good software
No bloat
Good screen
Includes charger
Includes screen protector
I think also includes a case

This phone makes sense, if camera, speaker, mic is not a priority.

Cannot go wrong with this one.

Samsung F55. Has a very good display. Quite lightweight for the screen size. In display finger print. You will get it for around 17K. Orange (apricot) colour looks great to me.

Haha! So, not a good phone. Not a good camera phone.

Yeah not exactly bad, just average to get the job done.

They added some IP rating in this one.

The lacking is justified. This is the smoothest android experience one can get on a budget. I am not talking about the 120Hz refresh rate or the 480Hz polling rate. The jitter and micro stutters are least in this one. Their software is their USP.

This makes your wonder a no name brand is making smoother budget phones that giant like samsung is not doing on purpose to promote their higher segment phones.

In same budget there are phones with better performance, better camera, etc. But despite having that they lack in overall software experience.

No idea what the service center experience / repairability is like. Probably not good.

Strictly in that budget,
Oppo K13 for raw performance
CMF Phone 2 Pro for it's light weight OS
Samsung M35 if you want Samsung (A35 is pretty much the same but expensive), with Samsung you've to shell out more for charger as it's not bundled with the phone.

These may likely to overshoot your budget if there are no offers.
