Mobile Hotspot Device Question

Hello Folks,

I need help regarding setting up a little 3G hotspot for using with my devices. This is what I need...

A device that I can preferably carry in my pockets into which I can insert a SIM card and establish a 3G connection via the network from that SIM card which then I can seamlessly connect to and use on my tab and other devices. The device should be a easy plug & play type so as when I insert the SIM card and turn on the device it should simply act as a hotspot for my 3G connection without hassles.

I did some searching and came across this little router from ZTE but thought to ask here first before buying it because I needed to know if it will serve the purpose and fit the bill as to my needs:

I do use my phone as a Hotspot but the battery drain is pretty heavy and thus was looking for a separate device other than my phone. I will be using another SIM of course with the device.

Hoping my friends here can shed some light on this.

I bought that hoping that it'll work with cdma as well as gsm sim (as it is global ready), but I failed to get it working for cdma. It's lying redundant now as I have got other model which is truely global..
 
@aalok What model did you get which is global?

@OP - There is a DLink 7.2/14.4 Mbps going cheap for about 3K. Please check on Amazon/FK. Add 1K extra to pickup a powerbank if needed for the hotspot!
 
I went ahead and ordered the ZTE MOWI router from Amazon India... taking a chance really. Will report back once I receive and try it out with my spare Aircel SIM.
