Mobile insurance in India

I came to know we can have our mobiles insured, if we didn't do it at the time of purchase. I also heard that it will be just 2% of the total cost.

I need more info, like which insurance/plan etc. Thanks in advance :)

PS : Any info/tips against theft wil be helpful. Will be installing tracker app.
 
Mobile Stores are offering some mobile insurances, but I think that's just a crap. I mean insurance company would not provide you the money so easily, and for the proofs they will ask for, will be PITA.

main insurances would be for theft and damage by water, but as krishnandu said the proofs they will ask for, will be PITA
 
Claiming for health and car itself is a PITA i seriously doubt on Mobile insurance .Its another marketing trick to lure customers.
 
^ Not sure about health, but car insurance claims have been very smooth for me. In fact so smooth that I was tempted to apply for an extra one within 2 months of the previous one. :D
 
I found Oriental Insurance provides mobile insurance. I will visit there office tomo and let you know guys
 
I heard about phone insurance companies which provides cover against fire, theft, accident, fortuious circumtances and many other that my cause harm to your mobile phone.
