I am having a weird problem with network in my house.
Since I have roaming enabled on my vodafone phone, my mobile automatically changes to the best network it finds. Problem is in my home, it switches to Idea only and not vodafone.
And on Idea network I don't get even one single incoming call from any other network including landlines. Everyone says my phone is either busy or out of network when they try to call me, when in fact my phone is almost always free and on this stupid Idea network.
Whenever I force my phone to select the vodafone network I usually get 3-4 missed calls messages. I'm on my wits end. What should I do? Should I call vodafone customer care and tell them that Idea does not forward calls to their network in my area?
Another idea (damn network) I have is to get a new cheap phone around 1k or so and a local lifetime incoming free sim card of airtel or bsnl. since most callers are of airtel network.
