Mobile Not starting after updates

Hi friends,i m in deep trouble can anybody help me.today in the morning i saw that my mobile is infected with virus.My handset model number is Nokia 3110c.well i just plugged my phone with usb data cable to mmy computer and checked for new updates.suddenly when update was installing in my phone they gave me a message that check to check my data cable and plug it nicely and den click ok to continue i pulled out my data cable and then again inserted it then i saw that the update continued and finished and gave me the message that update was done successfully.now i removed my data cable and then pressed the start button to switch it on but it did not worked i removed my sim card and just put my battery and tried again to switch it on but it didnt worked at all.I am at a total loss.i dont know what to do now can anybody help me.
 
I think you just bricked your phone :(

Not to worry though, it's still under warranty? Just take it to Nokia care and they'll fix it easily.
 
Same thing happened with me but on a different phone.if your phone comes with a memory card,try starting it after removing the memory card and sim card.if this doesn't work goto the nokia care people.
 
Hard Reset

Hold down the following 3 buttons when you first switch the handset on:

[Green, pick up call] + [3] +

[*] and keep them pressed all together for some time

Be warned this will delete all information on the handset and return the handset to a 'fresh out of the box' state. All contacts, installed applications, calender entries etc will be lost.

Note: Make sure you have a full battery when reformatting a phone.

I am sure this will rule out your problem :hap2:
 
well guys i m very sad........:( i went to nokia care.....and they told that the hardware and software of my phone is in trouble since the warranty period was over so they charged me Rs 650/-......and they will return my phone.......on monday but i m sure they are betraying me because i installed a latest software how can a hardware affect that........they should have charged 169/- for fresh software install......i think they are betraying me.....can't say or challenge anything to them since i m not expert in this field.........so i think i m betrayed :@
 
You should have waited sometime after creating this thread :no: Your problem might go after Hard Reset

well i was waiting for this thread but my dad took my phone right away to the service centre..............so could'nt get the chance..

dude i want to know whether this happens with nokia 3110c handset or not.....if this happens then from the next tym i will be using this.can u tell me in details.....after updating i ve to press those 3 keys to start my phone??:huh:

It just Completely Formats the Phone and everything (not sure abt the MMC). You'll get the phone AS IT IS when you opened your NEW Phone Package first time :hap2:

Use this 3 keys method when the Phone OS is completely corrupted :)
