mobile phone suggestion thread

guys i m looking for a mobile phone for around 10 -13 k

my main requirments are it should have

a good camera

and it should be slim

please note tht i have a ipod touch so all my multimedia needs are taken care by it

so please suggest accordingly

If these two are your only needs

Nokia 6700 is the best bet for you . 11 mm thickness . Good 5MP camera

Costs ~ 11k AFAIK

i thnk they wont fit my budget

the SE yari looks good ..........

which one shld i go for the yari or the 6700

Why not add 2k more and go for Nokia N-79 ..!! that will surely fulfill and exceed your expectations here .. i mean .. if you can add 2k or so .. well .. give it a thought ..

Nokia 6700 it is. Great build quality and good camera.
I'd suggest against N79, since its plasticky and doesn't look great. Also, the UI is very laggy, not sure if any firmware updates fixed it.
 
A big NO. Keyboard is cramped and camera is crappy as well. Having said that 6700 doesn't have a great kepad either, the D-Pad is so thin and the keys are flat.

Ohh common dude .. N79 has a pretty much steady built quality ..!! UI is a bit laggy .. but not all the time .. and it has gone efficient .. it has been fixed .. CLASSIC phones are too boring .. take 6700 if you only think about the 5 MP camera .. otherwise .. a BORING phone ..

and also .. N79 has the feel when you have it in your hands .. not 6700 .. maybe for a few early days .. but you are bound to get bored of that phone .. trust me .. N79 fulfills all your requirements .. guranteed ..!!

guy i m having a slight problem with the n79

i have installed softrwares like "smart guard" , "x-plorer" , "y-browser" etc to hide my personal photos but the thing is tht when i change the attribute of any photo to "hidden" or "hide" whtever i am still able to see tht photo from the images section (image browser) though the file cannot be seen from the default file manager

after i switch off n again start the phone then the image become hidden

is there any othe better software / alternative to hide the image without having to restart my phone

nokia N79 users may be able to help me out with this
