Mobile tower near the apartment.

Hi all,
I am planning to buy an apartment which is diagonally opposite to a Mobile antenna tower which is hardly 60 meters away. I s this safe to live there? OR how can I check the radiation level inside the apartment ? whom I need to contact for this?

I wont suggest this appartment.

Its unknown about impact of mobile tower radiation and in India,we dont have any guidelines on power transmitted and all.

so best avoid.
 
Well our apartment is placed next to a mobile tower (less than 100 metres) i think.
The advantages
best connectivity across all operators :P
best speed with 3g connection if you have one.
The drawbacks cannot be enlisted as i have not observed any thing vague happening to all in the family.

there's a mobile tower near my house just two buildings away, and nuth thiinnkks's vague hapn'ed to me nao.
wunder why did itype like that nau...

see the bright side - no call drops though :rofl:
 
Can lead to some minor health problem after almost 50 years ;) Dont worry. Live happily with your family. We all already stay in a surrounding which is full of radiations and those are just EM radiations. If you still concerned with this then get some other flat to bring peace of mind, or you would always have this insecured feeling in your mind..

And looking at what GGT and 6pack have commented, I would say definitely stay away from those mobile towers ;)

Geiger counter is for ionizing radiation. ;) Remember Gordon Freeman ?

Mobile phones == non-ionizing radiation (em radiation) :)
 
there is a tower on our roof too.

My brother has "radiation exposure detection badges" given to people working with radiation (his department provides him one and counts evaluated by BARC every three months), his counts has always been under permissible limits given the fact that the badge remains for at least 12 hours a day in the house. the thing is these towers have EM radiation and there are no conclusive studies to suggest any ill effect of continued,excessive EM exposure on the population, only future outcomes can confirm health related harmful issues, if any..

also these badges, geigers are not meant for detecting electromagnetic radiation, rather they measure ionizing/particulate radiation like alpha, beta, etc.

For the time being we are enjoying the excellent connectivity.
 
Thanks guys. Since the property doesnt have any other issues, I am going forit. Let me observe for some time. May require some anti EM radiation treatment to be done on my rooms later.
will update if anything wrong. Or u guys can make out after observing my TE posts once I moved in :-)

yeah do stay away if you dont have to take advantage of wireless connectivity ;)
 
Oh, it just struck me now.

There are 2 mobile towers above my office.
Dunno if its the reason, everybody is sleepy and lethargic here, all the time.(including me :P) :tongue:

Same here... i.e sleepy and lethargic, but no mobile tower in vicinity :P

Its we who find reasons for feeling so ;)

Anti EM treatment??

so, you dont want to use your cellphone in the house?

Many people will be willing to exchange houses with you.. Most places dont have a decent phone signal in their homes

you my friend fall in the shadow zone since the towers are above you.
So being sleepy has nothing to do with the mobile towers. :P

Its the lack of energy being absorbed in their brains

no EM waves= no energy absorbed in brain = sleepiness :) :)
