Graphic Cards Mobo Asus m2npv-vm, need graphics card advice

I have asus m2npv-vm motherboard. Please suggest a suitable graphics card for video editing and 2d graphics..

proc: 2.6 amd dual core athlon series.. 650W psu

this is an old pc, but quite good.

my PSU is a coolermaster 650W. I am currently using it with a 32" display via hdmi cable, using dvi to hdmi adaptor.

sata hdd 500 gb 7200 rpm..

3.5 gb ddr2 ram.. 1gbX3 + 512.. may increases the ram soon..

amd athlon 64X2 dual core proc 5000+ 2.60 GHZ

no overclocking.

dvd rw

64 bit windows 7

mobo: m2npv-vm

need graphics card advise..

budget.. less than 5k..

do not want to invest more o this rig, just want to make this system better..

i may buy new pc with a i7 next year so do not want to invest more..

so a budget card for 2d graphics, photoshop, illustrator etc, web design and video editing..

also, if you have any other suggestions, please let me know..
