CPU/Mobo Mobo purchase

Hi All,

I would need your help urgently. i have decided to purchase a comp from SP road. here is the config

I5 2400 - 9800

DH 67 - 6000 or DH 61 - 3000

1 TB HDD - 4800

6950 1 GB - 13,000 or 6950 2 GB - 16,000

650 W smps - 3,600

WIndows 7 - 4,000

I am totally confused if i should buy the D61 or D67 Mobo. i am not going to overclock and am not interested in 6 USB ports. i would prefer picking up the D61 since i save 3,000 on it which i could better invest in other parts.

same goes for the 6950 GFX card. whether to pick the 1 GB or the 2GB...i am purely into gaming.

your help is needed since i am picking it up this monday afternoon.

if you do not want 4 ram slot, usb3, sata3 then you can go h61....6950 2gb is better as you may be able to unlock it to 6970....which 650 smps you are talking about...you will need a descent psu for your quad and gfx card......which windows 7 version is that for 4k?
 
If you want to save the cash badly for the gpu then go for Intel DH61WW-3.5k OR GIGABYTE GA-H61M-D2H-3.5k.Do not go for HD6950 at all,wait for HD7850 to release you'll get it for 15-16k it'll performe way better than HD6950.Hope this clears things.

For psu go for Seasonic S12ii 620W-4.6k or Corsair TX650W-5.4k.

hi jakob inutero and hyperactive,

windows 7 was all i had asked for. think i should ask for 64 bit right??

since am not looking at usb 3, and 4 ram slots thing i shall go for 61 mobo

i will choose the psu you had pointed out

i really cant wait anymore...waited for 5 years

Never wait for the next big thing.. its always the one that u are currently looking is bigger than anything else..
 
The HD7850 is really worth waiting,it's upto you though,it's a waste buying HD6950 for 16k when in a few weeks you'll get an awesome gpu.

Hi jakob,

now i wont be able to sleep oscillating between 7850 and 6950....
<


however i just read that the 7850 has been officially launched...does that mean it would have indian shores simultaneously??
