My monitor showing me green only cause the bloody port on the gfx card is loose. If i move it , it becomes ok for a lil while(a millisecond) but then gets screwd agn .. wat to do ?

Mine's permanent. krisdkiller , hjelp me out dude ! I've had it right since the beginning .. only it was temp .... no its permamnent ..

localize the problem...

1) is it a frayed cable on the monitor? test it by connecting the monitor to another pc or another monitor to yours

2) Is it a loose pin on the gfx (vga) port? if yes, take out the card (or the mobo if it is onboard gfx) and take it to a local electronics repair shop (not TV repairs etc., preferably one that handles chip replacements etc. e.g. handycam repair shop , as they have temperature controlled hi precisio n soldering irons) and get the loose pin resoldered

I ad this problem. Had to get the vga cable replaced. However, you first check that your gfx card isnt the problem.
You mean the monitor cable ? Will check that out tom. But if that isnt the prob, then i'll get the DVI converter.

Its due to a color component IC which decided to go kaput. U will have to replace that.

nah!

He gets RGB color back when he shakes the monitor cable..It's a frayed cable or loose VGA connector!

had it been a chip gone kaput, he'd not get full color back on shaking the wire

BUMP. Connected the monitor to the onboard card ... still same thing .. and prob is that the white cable(monitor to vga) cant be removed from the monitor without opening it i think .. so now wat ?

its a samsung 753s ... shud i call up customer care ? or shud i take it to NP ? where in NP ?
