Monitors Monitor Problem

My monitor automatically shows the brightness,contrast,...... options while i do my work on system.I don't know why it is happening.Please some1 suggest me how to get rid of this?

maybe some loose contact on your monitor. get it checked lol..

i have already checked the cords.my monitor is provided by HCL.Without pressing the buttons on the monitor, it automatically reduces brightness to zero,increases contrast to 100 and what not....Please help me asap.

i had a similar problem with my Viewsonic CRT .. i called them (Viewsonic's pathetic service center) up and they replaced some IC in my monitor (after 30 odd days).

Yes its an memory IC problm .Get it to the service center for the replacement of the chip.once happened to my samsung 753s:bleh:
