Amsterdam - June 25 - OneStat.com ( OneStat.com - provider of web analytics and free counter. ), the number one provider of real-time intelligence web analytics, today reported that the screen resolution 800 x 600 pixels has signficantly decreased since July 2005. More and more internet users choose for screen resolution 1024 x 768 or higher.

The finding has important implications for web site designers because most web sites are designed for a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.

The screen resolution 1024 x 768 has reached an all time high of 56.15 percent. Users with monitors set to the most common resolution 800 x 600 for web sites have an approximate 12.04 percent global usage share. Almost a year ago this percentage was 18.23 percent.

Lol .. got my monitor res. at 1152*864 .. wonder how many people use that ...
I am using the same resolution. The monitor i have doesn't support 1280*960 or 1280*1024 @ anything above 60hz, so using the highest possible that available right now.

1024*768 works for me. I guess 15" works for lot of people, especially in sub-sahara region, nigeria & that whole belt. Those guys are just waking upto the possibility.
