With less than two weeks left until Samsung's official announcement, more and more details on the upcoming Galaxy S IV's specs sheet continued to surface online.

Samsung Galaxy S IV has been surrounded by controversial rumors that have yet to be confirmed by the South Korean company.

For example, a few weeks ago a new rumor that the Galaxy S IV would be equipped with Qualcomm'sSnapdragon 600 processor emerged, though no proof was provided at that time.

Well, it appears that the rumor was inaccurate as the folks at Androidiani have just got their hands on a set of screenshots taken from Samsung Galaxy S IV's AnTuTu benchmark results.

Presuming these are legit, the Galaxy S IV will be equipped with Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa chipset that packs 4 + 4 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and a PowerVR SGX 544MP graphics processing unit.

However, it's not unusual for a handset maker to launch two different versions of a smartphone, so Samsung might launch a Galaxy S IV equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 chipset and another model with its own Exynos 5 Octa solution.

The benchmark also confirmed Samsung Galaxy S IV will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.

Other highlights of the phone include: 13-megapixel rear photo snapper, 2.1-megapixel front facing camera for video calls, 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

Word is that the Galaxy S IV is a “world phone” so Samsung fans should expect the smarpthone to come with support for GSM, WCDMA and LTE.

Last but not least, rumor has it Samsung's next Android flagship smartphone will boast a 4.99-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution.

Samsung Galaxy S IV has been confirmed for unveiling on March 14, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.

Galaxy S IV Confirmed with “Floating Touch” Capabilities

March 14 is a day that many enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for, given that Samsung is set to make its next Galaxy smartphone official on that day, and some more info on what the smartphone could pack in terms of features and capabilities has emerged online.

Apparently, the handset will indeed have floating touch technology included in the package, just as some of the previous reports on the matter suggested.

Dubbed Galaxy S IV, the device will also include Smart Scroll and Smart Pause capabilities recently, so that users be able to scroll on pages without having to touch the display, as unveiled only recently.

Furthermore, a recent article on SamMobile suggests that Samsung would aim at packing the smartphone with a new type of display, one that would be far more efficient than current panels.

The screen will still be AMOLED, but will use a new technology called “green PHOLED,” the news site notes. Courtesy of that, it should prove 25 percent more efficient than other screens, it seems.

The smartphone will still boast a full HD resolution, but it should be able to provide users with longer battery life courtesy of this technology.

Galaxy S IV is expected to land on shelves with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean loaded on it, though it should receive an upgrade to Android 4.2.2 soon after launch, SamMobile claims.

The rumored specs list of this device also includes an 8-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a new version of Samsung’s Nature UX loaded on top of Android.

Apparently, Samsung has been testing various screen / processor configurations for the device, and might also release a version of the device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor inside, and with SuperLCD3 screen.

However, specific details on the matter will be unveiled only next week, when Samsung makes the smartphone official.
