I ordered some goods from banggood last week, today I get a WhatsApp message from the above "company" asking for KYC documents, seems fishy to me as it's being couriered by Yanwen, which always routes through India post. I had a similar experience last time I ordered through banggood, around 4 years ago. However, back then I did complete the KYC and my products were delivered, it was a different company, my products were delivered through a courier without customs duty or having been inspected.
To me, this seems like a scam and from what I've read on reddit it does appear to be such.
