I think the most underrated actor/star has to be Abhay Deol, critics praise him, audience like him, but he's still not considered as a-list actor.
Most overrated? There are just too many these days in the industry... Ranbir Kapoor comes first to mind, SRK is irritating but not overrated, he had had his moments with some really good cinema. But he has done just way too many cliched roles and characters. It's like his own stuttering style... k-k-k-k-kiran... just like the K in Kiran he repeats his own roles too much. John Abraham is also one of the overrated star, dude can't act for nuts.
