Its started happening from the past few weeks...
Every other day my pc wont boot up...at first i thought most probably my hard disk is starting to die..and its causing the pc to stop from booting..
And after a few restarts the PC would boot up normally...
But today when it happenned again...i removed all the drives attached and booted up...the problem was still there....So it seems to me that most probably smthing is wrong with my BIOS....

Any 1 has any idea how i can check this or correct this...or smthing else thts wrong ???

Can you give more details on what you mean it wont boot up -

1. as in their is no CPU or Hard disk activity when you press on power on switch.

2. the windows startup screen goes into a loop.

3. no display, no cpu or hdd light, nothing happens.

4. not even sure if system is powering up.

5. does it atleast show the bios screen and only during windows loading it goes haywire.

6. do you see any error anywhere, have you tried safe mode booting.

The preciser the details, the better it is for narrowing down the problem, right now it is a bit vague.

Details as u enquired about
FIrst of all i think i was 2 sleepy while posting this...so..the motherboard is Intel 865GBF.

THe CPU switches on, the power light is on, hdd light is also on continuosly, the CD and DVD writer light flash and stop like normal, so does the floppy drive, but there is no display, it dosent even show the BIOS screen.
And no i dont see any error enywhere,...once it boots up, it works perfectly without any problem for days...

Same thing used to happen when my DVI connectors got loose. And I never for a second considered that possibility 'cause the system was powering up normally.

^ Icy, as saumil said can be a case of loose cables, check the cables/connectors next time it occurs.

And just to confirm, that your system is booting but without display, wait for 2-3 minutes after no-display boot up and try a few windows shortcuts you should see hard disk access, if yes - then system is fine its your display, either the display cable is gone bad or the connectors are loose.

seperate graphics card 9600 non pro....and dip dude...i left my pc for 10 mins...and the harddisk light just glows continuously....not even a single blink no matter what...
+ i took out and connceted all the power and harddisk connectors back...still the same problem... will check out the DVI cables if it happens next time...
