My other desktop lying unused because motherboard gone bad.

Configuration :

Processor : Pentium 4 3.0ghz HT (LGA 775)
Motherboard : Intel 915GAV (Gone bad)
RAM : 512 MB DDR1 400Mhz
HDD : 320 GB SATA
Optical Drive : Samsung DVD RW

----------------------------------------------------------
1) Motherboard Requirement :
Support this Processor and If I upgrade processor, should support that as well (if possible)
DDR 3 Support (as 4GB 1600mhz lying unused)

2) Suggest any other alternative as well

You can go for Gigabyte G41 Combo-3.2k which will give you DDR3 Memory support. The 4GB DDR3 1600mhz you have to clock back and will be used as 1333mhz ram.
You won't be able to upgrade the processor on this motherboard or any as the latest Processor are LGA1155 and yours is LGA775.You'll have to get a new Mobo+Proccy combo for the next upgrade. For now get the suggested mobo and you'll get DDR3 Ram support.

Are u sure Gigabyte G41 Combo support 1600MHz and 1333MHz DDR3 RAM ?
Saw on spec it support 800/1066MHz DD3 and 1333MHz when OC.
Please confirm!

I've stated above that it'll only support DDR3 ram,The 1600mhz ram which OP has will be clocked backed and used as 1333mhz ram.Hope this clears things.

I saw on the Mobo pack that it support 1333MHz DDR3 when OC.
So,confused DDR3 1066 or 1333 without any overclocking of RAM ?

So,that's mean even if I use DDR3 1600MHz RAM with this board it will work.
Will there be me any issue in future for higher clock speed RAM working at low clock speed ?
I mean PC will be stable and gonna work normally ?

Yes it'll work fine.

Thanks! :)
BTW,will the 1600MHz RAM automatically clock back to 1333 or 1066 ?
Or I have to change RAM Clock speed manually from BIOS ?

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core Processor 840 3.2GHz AM3 CPU (sealed pack) | eBay

Get a Phenom II x4 instead of the FX4100. It's a true quad-core and will beat the FX4100 in most situations.

If you are going to get the FX series wait a bit as the prices have been cut abroad, and should reflect here in a few weeks. Also, the FX4100 series is being replaced by the FX4300 series, which performs slightly better and consumes slightly less power.
Or get the FX6300 series when it comes out. Should be only 1000 more than the FX4100 series.

But for 10000 odd bucks you can also get an Intel core i3 based system which'll perform as well and consume less power than the AMD equivalent.
