Motherboard is not recognizing any USB devices

kartikoli

Level I
my MSI 880gma-e45 board is not recognizing any USB devices but those devices are working well without any issue on other PC

then i came to know that my sis was transferring some data from a pendrive and from there on its not accepting any usb device

firstly i thought that there could be some issue with virus and tried to re-install windows 7 but to my surprise there was no option to boot from usb in BIOS

anyhow installed through DVD drive but i still cant access any usb port

please let me know my options before going for RMA procedure

i cant access internet and update drivers or windows as i cant use my usb modem [EVDO] to connect to internet

searched on MSI forum and got the very simple solution

clearing CMOS got every thing working ... problem solved

such a big releaf
