But it isn't better than Galaxy SL overall, both are pretty comparable. Neither does it have a dual core CPU nor does it have 1 GB RAM, even the GPU of the Samsung is prolly better, besides it is just 3.7". I would take a Samsung SL at 19.5 or Samsung S at 25k instead or of course wait for other options :P

Moto Milestone 2 much better in build quality than galaxy sl, has camera flash with same proccy & GPU as SGSL

how could galaxy sl have better GPU cause both phone have same GPU i.e. PowerVR 530...??

as per display size is concerned 3.7" is more of a "practical phone" size rather than 4" "mini tablet phone"

comments??

I own a Galaxy SL & i don't find anything much wrong with the build quality.. Its pretty decent.. Though i must say that the omission of the camera flash is a serious letdown.. Doesn't matter much to me as i don't use the camera much..

Regarding the size of the screen, 4" is not something quite ergonomic.. IMO 3.5" is the best compromise between size & ergonomics.. I find my old Galaxy Ace to me much more ergonomic than the SL.. But watching if watching videos is a priority, then 4" would be better choice..

One of the main reasons i upgraded to the Galaxy SL i because of the poor sunlight legibility of the display.. Iam now more than happy with the Galaxy SL.. But as per the gsmarena review of the Milestone 2:

The sunlight legibility is the only downside of the display – it’s quite reflective and at some of the angles the reflected light completely obscures the image on the screen.

This is a very serious issue IMO..

u need qwerty n flash fr camera go fr the milestone 2 n if u need a gorgeous screen and a bit better after-sales service sgsl hands down. other specs for both are the same..... now prioratize.

personal experience:went to buy a defy got blown away by the samsung screen(the sales guy was using one personally and showed me kung fu panda loaded in his phne) and ended up buying it.the guy was kind enough to offer me a discount too 19k including a screenguard. :)

Its 21k and not 20k.

An affordable phone which wont disappoint budget conscious android on my mind users.

Watching the same camera really makes u ask the question about motorola's thinking pattern for an upgrade.

If you are in the market for an Android QWERTY phone, it is worth keeping in mind that the Milestone 2 is one of a few high-end Android devices that qualifies. There aren’t many alternatives – in fact the only I can think of currently is the HTC Desire Z. The Desire Z, while having a lower clocked processor, has proven itself as a great performer. Outside of the Android ecosystem, there is the newly released Nokia E7 which runs on Symbian^3 and the Windows Phone 7-powered HTC 7 Pro.

All in all, I can recommend the Milestone 2, with some caveats. It isn’t the best Android phone in the market in terms of performance nor is it in terms of features. Motorola hasn’t been the best manufacturer when it comes to keeping the software updated. The original Milestone for example has only just recently received Android 2.2 update. On the other hand, MOTOBLUR widgets are a nice touch, even if they are a bit ugly and the keyboard, while limiting, was comfortable to use.

Positive

â– Solidly built
â– Great design
■Well spec’ed
â– High resolution screen
Negatives

â– Slow
â– Top row of keyboard too close to screen
â– Poor camera
â– Poor battery life

And you still bought it? :O
No man I asked for a refund obviously, hope they process it soon.
I don't see any other good qwerty+android phones , don't like HTC's, so I'm looking for a used Galaxy S, posted in the market section as well.

hmm, even the galaxy sl doesnt have dual core cpu, 1 gb ram, the gpu in i9003 is sgx530, it's the LOWEST end. right now...

1) I dont see any problem with HTC Desire Z.

Its a pretty good phone but priced a couple of grands on the higher side. Somebody was selling it on TE, check it out.

2) These people at Letsbuy must be nuts to term a revamped Milestone 1 as Milestone 2.. communication from Motorola or not. If the real Milestone 2 didnt arrived in stock, mention that clearly.. no need to go about towing Motorola's line.
