Mouse optimization (Razer DA) for gaming: Windows 7 ?

I purchased a Razer Death Adder some time back and finally started using it today. I was earlier using a MX518 on Windows XP. As a clan gamer, I had optimized my mouse for gaming by removing all sorts of mouse acceleration using registry fixes and then manually increasing the USB polling rate and stuff.

I have some queries regarding mouse optimization in Windows 7 and need some help.

1. Is there any registry fix for Windows 7 which helps you remove mouse acceleration like there was for Windows XP?

2. What is the default value of the mouse pointer speed in Windows 7? This can be seen in the Control Panel. I am attaching a screen shot of the same and I need to know what is the default value of it. I don't remember mine as I had messed with it earlier.

3. Does the Razer DA require me to manually increase its polling rate or it will work at 500ms by default without installing drivers?

4. Any other settings that I should take care of in Win 7?

Just keep it in the center at exactly 50% as it is there and only there that you get 100% linear sensitivity scaling.
Do any further sensitivity adjustments from within the game.

Ya I have set it to 50% now i.e moved it to the 6th notch from the left. I hope this is fine for Windows 7.

Attaching this screen shot which I took yesterday. Can somebody tell me if the windows pointer speed is related to the windows pointer speed option in the DA drivers? And what should be the value for it in the Razer drivers?

the value can be anything. it doesnt have to be in the center. dont use the windows mouse setup. use the razer drivers setup which u have installed, disable mouse accel there & u can move any pointers up n down to whichever suits you.

Ok. I just re-installed the drivers and also adjusted my windows control panel mouse pointer speed to the 6th notch. This is what everything looks like now:

Is this ok? I have also disabled the Razer tray icon and let the drivers stay.

Everything looks fine, except acceleration is on in the Razer panel.

Nah its not on. If its on the display of the "on" button changes.
