^^ You can get the Razer Goliathus Fragged Omega for around 450 bucks. It is pretty good. Not sure about alternatives though.

Max: Rs. 500
Where are you buying from, if you're in Bombay then look at the Rantopad H3 -- TheITWares - One Stop for all Gizmos!RANTOPAD H3 Silk Centaur Gaming Mouse Pad - TheITWares, very good performance actually more recommended here on TE, for low budget than the Razer and SteelSeries because the size and performance for price is awesome as compared to the small size version of Razer Goliathus and SteelSeries Qck Mass.

There is a dealer paradise thread from ITWares on these mousepads -> here

You can get Rantopad H3 for rs 475 including shipping, it has very smooth surface with 3mm thickness and has good grip on the table. you can get Rantopad H1 for rs 375 including shipping if you want to go for a smaller size.

I just bought this tron pad for 250 bucks at a local shop, its pretty cool..surface it not cloth tho. :D

what about those mousepads with cushion/padding for the 'near your wrist area'..?

any idea how mch they cost..?

Ergonomically good and i believe make more sense.

Got a black one with me which is soon gonna be not in working condition anymore.

Look for mouse pads with Gel pads. They are cheap and will cost u somewhere around 20~60/-.

@OP
go for rantopad. they are simply great for the price.

They cost around 20 ~ 40 according to size and shape. But they suck at gaming as the padding gets damp after several hours of gaming due to sweat. Then come the boils and rash ....

IF u can spend around 600 rs go for Qck Mass eyes closed , best pad for mx-518 , always felt that Steelseries Qck series pads were best suite for MX-518 , have played on a Goliathus Speed, Qck Heavy/Mass and tracking was much better on Qck Heavy/Mass than Goliathus,

I would say use the mouse on a normal mpad( 30 rs surface cloth mpad wont affect ur mouse feets) in another few days you should be able to save 100-200 rs odd buy qck mass.

i would suggest for razer goliathus..i 've been using it for my mx518 and its complete value for money.

SteelSeries Qck mass : 675 + shipping (Medium size)

Razer Goliathus fraaged : 650 (Alpha: Maximum size)

What size is sufficient....alpha/standard/omega ??

For 500 bucks you can only go with the Fragged Omega, smallest of em all, but with normal sensitivity - I think it should do the job. Although, I'd suggest you to go with the Rantopad, sheer vfm option. Goliathus is good, but compare it with the rantopad, its small, and the surfaces are both pretty decent, which is why I'd go with the Rantopad. I think the largest (H3) sells for about 400 bucks, here in the Dealer's paradise.

Omega is approx 10 inch by 8 inch and should be good for general purpose and gamin. A big pad may give you some advantage in multiplayer FPS though.
